International Pediatric & Radiological Societies

The African Society of Paediatric Imaging (AfSPI) was formed officially as a subgroup of the African Society of Radiology with permission of Prof. Hassen Gharbi and with official documentation formalizing the society from the ASR secretary Prof Michael Kawooya on 30 October 2012.The body was formed to facilitate African continental representation at international forums (such as the ASR itself and the World Federation of Pediatric Imaging).

The Asian and Oceanic Society for Paediatric Radiology (AOSPR) is a confederation of existing Paediatric Radiology societies in Asian and Oceanic region. The AOSPR is dedicated to the promotion of Paediatric Radiology in the Asia-Oceanic region through cooperative research, teaching and education.
 


The Australian and New Zealand Society for Paediatric Radiology include general radiologists who have an interest in paediatric imaging and specialist paediatric radiologists who have obtained additional training in the specialty and primarily see children in their day to day practice. There are members of ANZSPR in the imaging departments of children’s hospitals, general hospitals and private practices throughout the region. The society promotes high quality, low radiation imaging in children in a child friendly manner.

The major activity of ANZSPR is the annual scientific meeting, by tradition held the week after the annual scientific meeting of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).

The European Society of Paediatric Radiology is a professional medical association committed to improve the health care of pediatric patients by providing excellence in diagnostic medical imaging and treatment of neonates, infants, children and adolescents.

The Indian Society of Paediatric Radiology (ISPR) was formed in December 2003 to encourage and advance the knowledge of Paediatric Radiology in India.
We have 488 members in our society.
We hold one Mid-term National CME and one National Conference a year. We publish an E-Newsletter twice a year for all our members. We interact with other societies in India & in the world such as WFPI (World Federation of Paediatric Imaging) and AOSPR (Asian & Oceanic Society for Paediatric Radiology). In 2018, we organized combined meeting : 16th Annual meeting of ISPR with 18th Annual meeting of AOSPR at Chandigarh,India.This was attended by nearly 740 delegates.

The Latin American Society of Pediatric Radiology (La Sociedad Latino Americana de Radiología Pediátrica) is a professional medical organization dedicated to promoting the health care of patients through the Diagnosis and Treatment for Images in the perinatal period, in the infant, in the child and in the adolescent.

It will disseminate information and education for all health providers that use imaging techniques. Through its annual course and giving information to local and international medical and technical organizations that have the responsibility and authority for the development of procedural guidelines and image study algorithms in pediatric patients.
